ISO stands for International Organization for standardization and it is the world’s leading developer and publisher of international standard. It was formed in 1947 in Geneva in Switzerland. The International Organization for Standardization is an independent non-governmental international organization with a membership of 162 national standard bodies, where the official languages for ISO are English, French and Russian. The main concept ISO is to characteristics of the management practices that must be standardized and main motto of ISO certification in Jordan that means it’s mainly deals with the management practices that which must be standardized there should be have some standard.
ISO 9001: It’s all about helping you build a quality management system so that your team and your people in your organization can have systems and processes to follow to actually deliver what you commit to the marketplace. It is all about managing customer satisfaction, customer expectations or customer happiness.
ISO 14001: It sets out criteria for Environmental management system. It is about building out and looking at the environmental issues that are attached with your industry and your organization and maybe your customers and also your suppliers, and it helps you to identify prioritize and control the environmental performance of your organization.
ISO 45001: The standard sets out criteria for Occupational Health and safety management system. It is used for building out a safety management system so that your team has safety plans and safety processes to keep themselves safe when they are at work. It is used to make a system to identify, control and reduce the risks identified with the wellbeing and security of workers at the workplace
ISO 27001: It is aninternationally recognized standard specifies requirement for Information Security Management System. ISO 27001 standard gives you the guidance notes around how to build the security management system to manage the protection of your information, the correct storage of your information and also you can protect that information so it is not accidentally lost, stolen or damaged in any way.
ISO 22000: The standard sets out criteria for Food Safety Management System which can be applied for any business organization within the food chain; it shows that the organization has got aappropriate food safety management program in place.
And also many industry specific standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 17025, ISO 50001, ISO 22301 and many more have been implemented by many organizations in the market today.
